insub2: Seems sticky. I'm not a fan of sticky. For example, push-pops. They say one can push them down and save them for later. But when one return to his/her sweet treat, his/her finger gets sticky from the spitty lolly-pop that was held in the tube his/her finger now is. It seems like your idea--while neat--would take that same sticky out of the tube to new, unknown, not-good-to-be-sticky places....
