   um, this REALLY isn’t necessary. Not only is the polution not necessary, garbage doesn’t need to be bombed. And I’m guessing a lot of suicides will occur if this is deployed into a city.

   Nice try, but this idea isn’t going to work.

   Looks like you didn’t understand.
   it’s not a bin to BOMB garbage!!! It’s just a normal bin , but bomb-proof, so if a terrorist hides a bomb in it the explosion is diverted vertically, not injuring nearby civilians.
   The image was pretty simple to understand, pay more attention before posting next time.

   I also thought it was bin to BOMB garbage :) (wich it made me laugh a bit)
   now I get it, and I think it can be useful (in Israel)

   Thanks Phil. I’m not Russian, so I took a look at the pics.
   And evidently, kroma and I saw the same thing. Which either proves we both have brain tumors, or the pictures are misleading.

   This idea would be quite useful in the big city in the states. Subtle but useful concept.

   Hey everyone,
   I heard that they made this almost bubble wrap that uses recycled materials to be used in NYC in the existing garbage cans and will take care of most bombs (I’m not sure if its still a concept or if its going into the market) … just hope some kid doesn’t try to pop the bubbles like most kids do after the FedEx truck comes.

   Uhm, this is all well and good but… as soon as terrorists find out these exist, won’t they stop using them - negating this ‘good’?

   As it is, I think car/buses are better targets for bombproofing. I’m hearing more about exploding cars than trash.

   This might be good to have around should someone leave a bag unattended but…

   This would be great in the UK. No bins in the Tubes & very few on the streets because of potential security risks. Great if it works.

   Just a quick question. Whose gonna empty this?
