Nearly every kitchen has a storage problem with too much room taken up by pots, pans, equipment, and white goods. The Scroll Pan is a product which radically changes the way we perceive the regular frying pan. It folds and rolls and addresses the serious issue of storage. Great for cooking omelettes, bacon, steak etc the Scroll Pan introduces more fun to frying. Folding your omelette, for example, has never been easier. The rolling base of the pan could be made in a number of ways. Diphenyl silicone (plasma treated and Teflon coated) would produce a heatproof and flexible surface. That is a great idea. It solves a lot of ordinary problems while also being visually pleasing.

what about the fat that melts away or when you’re trying to cook an omelette (it’s liquid)? wouldnt it fall over the edges?
This could, ideally, be used on a glass-top range. I think a lip is needed as well as a tensioning system for catching and transferring liquids to the sink, garbage, etc… see van’s comment above. Plus, the two handles could make it cumbersome for cleanup when cooking is complete.

I really like the idea and would probably own fun cos its fun and cool looking, but practiblity is still an issue, it doesnt exactly reduce the space use that much with two fairly large handles one, the idea could be grea but a more compact design i think is required, still nice job
Teflon = not safe to cook on.
Fat would pour over the sides, oil would pout over the sides ? Whats stopping the pann rolling its self up while your cooking ? How does Diphenyl silicone react under intense heat, would it melt and the pan become misshapen ?
It´s easy to make some real mess with food, hot oil and this pan…It might be even dangerous to cook with it.
Anyway, it´s a nice concept that needs some more development and safety tests before reaching the market.
