patti: Why not make them into pressed plywood ones with diffrerent types of veneers? This way they are nice and flat so they dont get in the way of your desk while inserting into your laptop or computer. It would be a great project for use of leftover scraps after bent blywood furniture is created....making it so that they dont create any waste, but use up material that is about to go into the landfills! This way you could also have a selection of woods to match your desk or other furniture......
