he idea behind this new power aware cord from Interactive institue. When the cable isn?’t delivering any power it looks like just any other power cable, but when it?’s in use it glows and pulses. The more power you use, the more it glows. Inventions like this is very important to be able to halt the global warming and spread awareness about the problem.

Looks cool, but I wonder what the powerconsumption of that glowing coord is?
“The more power you use, the more it glows. Inventions like this is very important to be able to halt the global warming and spread awareness about the problem.”
lol, spread the awareness by adding a few 0’s to the electricity bill.
I’d buy that… not because I am trying to cut .03 off my power bill but rather because that would look badass with a tricked out pc case :)
Man…dat’s a badass design. I love it. more power more it glows.
Good idea. However, if Im not using it, I unplug it. America wastes enough energy in one year by leaving electronics plugged in to power the hoover damn; even small countries for months. Nice concept.
Whats also great…is that the cord is utilizing the power to create light as well…so even if you dont always unplug something…it can be used as a nightlight…therefore eliminating the need for one and saving energy.
Good for DJ’s and sound people! Not for global warming!
My little baby boy would like that……….duh!
It’s neat, but will it heat up and if it’s coiled and stuffed in a narrow space, is it a fire hazard?
Nightlights don’t cost practically anything, if you purchase them at the Dollar Store. I would rather do that then spend 50 bucks on a power sucking cord!
I’ve seen similar things that use a special kind of glowing plastic??”you could power the thing for months on a regular AA battery, so no, it will not suck enough energy to power the Hoover Dam (or the Hoover Damn, for that matter).
I like the re-designed power cord
Does anybody know where to get it and what is costs?
Glowing tomatoes are cool, but not glowing power cords.
