Hi Anne, it is exactly like domino.
there are 6 faces + 1 blank (like the numbers in domino), and each piece has two faces (like domino pieces)
*I also got confused the first time I saw the image, because the pieces on the left are placed horizontally and they are the doubles .
I think it is a very geek/fun variation of Domino
