Really delicious thought, and prettily executed.
“…an exercise in matching forms rather than pattern” does not sound like anything I would ever want to do. The only reason jigsaw puzzles sell are the pictures on them. People aren’t in love with the arduous task of actually assembling them, they’re in love with the cute puppies on the box.

I think it would be a lot more successful if the shapes were unique geometric shapes instead of similar looking jigsaw pieces.
Sorry but disagree with ya iynque. I’ve got a silver faced puzzle whose interest lies in the shape. And for anyone who enjoys twisted things (and trust me, even during coke parties), it’s a blast! no hard feelings I hope! lol
