Min Chair

The MIN is a fun, engaging chair for children aged five to eight that also converts into a rocking chair. Made from a single piece of injection molded plastic, the design offers great manufacturing efficiencies and could be produced in a wide range of fun colors. With no legs and its single, rounded form, the MIN.CHAIR is ambiguous at first glance. But the cleverness of its dual function soon wins over all who see it.

I’m concerned about the rocking function because without support the kids could easily tip over backwards. It would need to have a much larger radius curve to sit vertically on its own and to prevent accidents.
I agree with Jimbo. Once this minor flaw was remedied, I would purchase a Min Chair for every toddler I know!
Artistic, yet unfunctional.
I remember this beat my concept in a design competition and when i saw it, i was like “that’s a good idea.” However, i do agree with the other comments…
Yeah, good looking but very innestable at rocking position, isn’t it? Even in normal position can turn forwards. Dangerous beauty.
I totally agree with all the others..how do you provide back support? If it did it would be the next seat to be used in every children’s TV show!
also i would recommend filling in the gap in the nonfunctional “bottom” side of the chair… if the child turned it on the “wrong” rocking side and his/her foot got caught in the gap it would result in injury
