Memory Infinite

4,966 Views * 4 views today

Memory Infinite has a USB male connector at one end and a female connector at the other, providing an ?“add up?” concept for USB finger discs. By connecting one Memory Infinite with another to add up the storage capacity, the user won’t waste the old storage capacity when getting a larger one. The user can choose to combine or separate Memory Infinite, making the usage of USB finger discs more convenient. And when Memory Infinite connects to a computer using its male end, other USB devices still can connect to its female end without having to occupy another USB port on the computer.

    looks like a nice concept.
what I really like apart from the design is the idea of connectivity and the ability to increase the amount of memory you can carry with you.

Not using up a USB port when connecting a usb-stick is a good idea, but actually adding up storage capacity and presenting it as a single-disk would be technically a very bad idea.

The flexible design seems cool, but one would wonder about the form factor of several of these joined together.

    i like this concept.
i don’t know about the technology, but as memory seems to go down in size over time maybe you’d buy one that was 1GB and then 9 months later buy one that was the same size and 2 GB. could be cool.

brilliant! i could use a few of these right now.
very cool idea, as a computer geek i love it, and as a chick, i think it’s adorable.
i’d even wear these as bracelets!!

Put in a battery and a watch face, and you’ll sell a million!

great idea! but what if you connect two 1gbs together, then have a movie that’s 1.5gb, when u disconnect it wouldn’t it break the file and corrupt it? and how would u kno which one it’s on when u put a file in?

if it has an flexible electronic system inside ( but how), it is the real design !!

    Great!

Uh…why not just make it a single band that can be worn as a bracelet?
That kills the “splits straddling files” issue. And yes, push the wearability facet as carrying these buggers around is a nuisance. Maybe add a “lock” feature to ensure its place on the wrist.

But the biggest issue with this is: can the hardware be configured to bend?

Perhaps just one with a contoured bracelet to attach either end per my recommendations.

wonterful, but whether can be practical?

I’d have a terrabyte belt. Cool!

Could someone explain the concept of male/female connectors to me? Not a designer, lingo went right over my head

  13. siris siris Says:

Male = the part that plugs in (as in a penis, hence male)
Female = the part that is plugged into, as in female

So the usb ports on your computer are female, the usb plug on your usb drive is male
