Lien bench

The Lien bench is designed by Jim Doan and is completely handcrafted in the esby studio. It shows Jim?’s passion for traditional Japanese furniture as well as modern design. The seat is made of solid walnut that he selects for its grain and color. The walnut dovetails are cut by hand to precisely join the machined solid aluminum legs. They are epoxied together to form an extremely strong joint. The two butterfly keys are also cut by hand in the walnut. The elegant Lien bench joins modern materials with traditional craftsmanship. Each is individually signed and numbered.

That’s kind of nice if you have an eye for detail. for the rest of us, it just seems like a bench

I would have thought that you had an extreme eye for detail, Xander, based on your other posts. Anyway, nice details and craftsmanship. Looks great.
