Last Position Shower for the Elderly

2 Last Position Shower Head.jpg

Noting that the elderly have greater difficulty manouvering, this shower concept allows the user to position the water spray direction without having to hang on to the shower head. It also caters for safety during showers. Imagine if the shower head slips off the hand, it will spin out of control due to the water pressure exerted in the tube. In a panicky situation to control the ‘runaway’ shower head, the elderly may knock against something, slip or fall which may cause unnecessary injuries… some leading to death.

don’t know what to say about:
“it will spin out of control due to the water pressure exerted in the tube. In a panicky situation to control the ‘runaway’ shower head, the elderly may knock against something, slip or fall which may cause unnecessary injuries… some leading to death.”
It sounds a little bit exaggerated :)

leaving that matter, that’s a nice concept, looks very comfortable to use. I’d buy it. :)

I agree that it is pretty exaggerated. I am the creator of sketch. =)

In view of an elderly loosing control of a water hose (this case shower head) with the hose flinging unconrollably, in the attempt of trying to capture the wild hose, he/she may loose the balance and fall. An elderly falling in the bathroom can be fatal. That was what happened to my grandma. She died because she slipped and fell in the bahroom.

In an aging society, at least in Singapore, there is a need to emphasise on products for the elderly that not only functions, but will safe for use too.

So thatwould be nice if the water hose would stay where they are the moment it is let off. Really hope some people would take up the concept and develop, make and contribute for the ageing society…

Seems like a good product, but perhaps “Last Position” is not the best title for it…

“Last Position” may not be the best title… have to agree.

Notice in the sketch I initially named it ‘Last Touch’… That was worst.

There was another name given to it… “STAY” which was not shown in the sketch. =)
