I love this idea — it’s perfect for those insane individuals who repeatedly hit the snooze button when the alarm sounds — incentive for them to actually get out of bed on the first alarm.

I actually have that retro clock in my dorm room right now. wake up (or at least try to wake up) every morning to that alarm and wish I could silence it for good….. now I finally can!

If only it were easy enough to build for $40. For something one of a kind like that, you have to consider both cost of materials and time to build. You can’t possibly think that this could be done for that, do you?
Try offering a couple hundred, then you might be getting somewhere.

    Cool idea!

This is the one thing that will complete any room. I want to kill some time!

  8. cointreau cointreau Says:

how about this? the orb thingy projects a laser image (maybe of an old fashioned alarm clock, blue laser of course) flying all around the ceiling and walls as it beebs, and you have to shoot THAT to get the thing to shut up. that would be super bitchin’!

  9. cointreau cointreau Says:

ooh, ooh, and there could be different level settings and when you hit it it’d blow up complete with sound effects, holy crap! i want one!!!!!!!!

  10. Ebil Ebil Says:

lol too much work for turning it off… at least for me

  11. Ragtime Ragtime Says:

Let’s keep it simple: When you first awake, you are not focused. The eye on the clock should be pinpointed so that you have to be exact. Put it on your beaur…, bureau and now you have to get up. Great idea and easily $30 - $40. My kids got a plastic duck shoot thats cheaper.

that chord is so short… it’ grab the gun and end up slinging the radio across the room, smashing it into the wall…. if you could figure out how to make it chordless, that’d be great, but then there’d be the issue of keeping the gun with the clock.
    cute idea tho.

  16. Jill Davis Jill Davis Says:

    htats awesome.

  17. Dae Dae Says:

cordless… have clock farther from bed so you really need to wake up and “aim” to kill it off :)
(even add trigger operated laser pointer for fun?)

    Great Idea!

  18. Anya Anya Says:

dude, that cord needs to be longer or eliminated altogether.

  19. Max Max Says:

meh…This one isn’t violent enough for my mornings. I like the other alarm clock that you have to throw across the room to shut it up.

  20. Adilah Adilah Says:

Next time if someone tries to wake me up I will shoot them for real with a real gun how about that?
This just promotes violent, but cool idea though.
