					<description>Wow, kromosoma, that sounds like a terrible time. Makes me think of people who keep their sofa wrapped in plastic so they won't ruin the fabric.

In my (often not so) humble opinion, you have to tear off the protective coating and enjoy it as it is. If it gets scratched, it's a poorly considered design, as with the iPod. ...unless you intend to make a market of accessories, as with the iPod.

Anyway, as I see it, it's better to enjoy the shiny for a while until it gets scratched than to have a gadget covered in plastic film.</description>

In Asia, the electronic goods are obsessively protected from scratches. 
People here (in China) never remove the plastic film that protects the product when you by it.
