house party * james

James is a plate for events like openings, vernissages, stand-up parties, which means for occasions, where drinks and appetizers are served with style . A handy plate, that takes the food in its glazed hygienic inner area and holds all glasses with a handle within its special hollow. Due to its broad and unglazed edge, it provides good grip. Everything in one hand, guests always have a hand left to eat or to say `hello?? to their friends.

this is a really clever solution!
I hate being in events and holding the glass in one hand and the plate/food in another…

    congratulations, really good idea

fantastic idea, the design and the function work in perfect harmony to create aesthetic genius and useful brilliance!

This really does seem like a great idea! Think I’d be overly cautious about dropping the glass though!

I like the idea. the only thing I worry about is weight balance. Perhaps the side of the plate opposite the beverage holder could be counter-weighted? Not by much, perhaps a few more ounce to give the plate a more sturdy feel.

  5. Frenchie Frenchie Says:

This is great! But I do agree with David, I’d be afraid to drop the glass.

I think that as the glass hole is bigger than the “cut”,
it is impossible to drop the glass because it can’t go through.

Incredibly clever idea. this is one product I have no doubt about purchasing. If you’re afriend of sropping the glass, you might just have paranoia. You’ll have to tip the plate quite a bit for the glass to drop.

how about this? you don’t hold it like the lady in the picture… instead you put the hole closer to your hand, maybe even wrap your finger around that glass. no counterweights, no falling glasses… BRILLIANT!!!

A great idea.. i saw a similar idea being used at some function: a separate clip-on glass holder. it didnt work nearly as well as a built in one such as the one above. looks great too!

  10. Paige Paige Says:

This is a VERY old idea.

Because people just can’t understand that you can’t shake hands upon meeting because you’re holding a shit* pile of free food. Assholes the lot of them!
