The product turns two plastic bottles into a clothes hanger by screwing the bottles into the hook. By the concept that reuses empty plastic bottles, I try to present to consumers a realistic idea to address environmental realities and encourage the reuse of already ?“consumed?” items to form a new functional product. The design incorporates the following features that make it practical and appealing to both producers and consumers: ?• Low cost, realistic commodity ?• The shape of the bottle provides more fit support for the shoulder of clothes than traditional ones ?• Inspire the interest of users: the concept will attract consumers and inspire a rethinking of consumption habits

a reminder to hydrate as you stuble into your closet in the morning after a night of hearty drinking? this is not most space-efficient though.
It would also prevent those little hanger thingies that happen in your shirt when you hang it up wrong, because the bottles are curved
I am really sure that the plastic from the bottles will collapse and send all my clothes onto the floor
You could fill the bottles with moths so they could die from frustration.
I think this starts an interesting way of thinking. Empty plastic bottles are becoming a huge problem, and I like that people like yourself are thinking about how to turn something that is now garbage into something usable.
Could it also be used for soda bottles? I can think of some young guys who would enjoy having a closet full of mountain dew bottles.
Also, might drink companies be interested in getting involved with this as a promotion? Could be a way for them to deal with criticism about all the discarded bottles.
I think it’d be far better for the enviorment if you just moved your lazy ass and brought those bottles to the recycle center. they’ll even give you a little cash for your trouble.
This is a good idea, but I need it HERE, because I have no Recycle center…. Excuse me……jejejej
Wouldn’t it be better to not use plastic bottles at all?
Don’t you think the cost of making these, with their thickness and the threads where the bottles attach, would be a lot more than normal plastic hangers and especially more than wire ones?
Ragtime, I am still laughing at your joke. You made my day.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I barely have enough room in my closet for my clothes hanging on regular hangers- I certainly don’t have the extra space for this.
@_Rebecca: Flatten the bottles.
@_Eric: That’s not happening any time soon. Many hangers are made of plastic as too are bottles; shift resources into another use.
Very impressive idea. The shape of the bottles mimics that of a person’s shoulders and if flattened they could be shaped to do little harm to the lay of the shoulders also.
brilliant! totally brillliant!
This is a step in the right direction.
We’ve been studying the environmental effect of hangers on our biosphere. Over 8 billion unrecyclable plastic/wire hangers are landfilled every year…enough to fill 4.6 Empire State Buildings–every year. They’re made from polystyrene and polypropylene and off gas benzene (carcinogen) and bi phenyl-A (hormone disruptor) into clothing in your hermetically sealed closet.
That’s why we reverse designed our award winning Ditto hangers that flow through recycling systems. Made of recycled paper and the same material bottles are made of: PET.
Tell clothing companies and dry cleaners that their benzene and wire hangers are no longer acceptable.
