Glowing gel bath mat

3,938 Views * 3 views today

Angelfish, seahorses and many other wonders of the ocean seek solitude and safety from their predators within the warm glow of the sea anemone’s protective tentacles. It is this symbiotic relationship that inspired the glowing gel bathmat.
Small light emitting diodes, located in the delicate gel bubbles, radiate a dim glow that envelops and soothes your body as you lay in your tub. The led’s are powered by a simple, 100% rechargeable battery.

Nice idea…but how expensive would a simple functioning object like this cost with all the extra features? I think the gell bubbles are a great idea for comfort, but the battery charged diods seem inappropriate since you can acheive ambient light with a candle.

Just one question: isn’t putting an electrically charged object in the bathtub a bad thing? even if it’s low voltage?

    Just curious.

William, I couldn’t have said it better myself. If/when one of those malfuction, you’re gonna have one hell of a lawsuit.

Forget the batteries and just manufacture a giant glowstick-pad.
