I don’t get this. What’s the meaning of mouse hole?

I think it is to indicate that it is a wall.
I like it.

If you want to hang something on the back of a chair, why can’t you use a REAL CHAIR? How many chairs does the average person have in their home? More than enough, I’m sure, to make this thing quite worthless. And should you have your house decorated in some eastern style that has no “traditional” chairs, what the hell would you want HALF a chair sticking out of your wall for? This is just ridiculous…

I think it’s really cool.
I’m always hanging things on the backs of chairs. My wet towels ruin the finish and my heavy jackets knock the chair over…
Anyway, it’s a comical solution to the problem. …not everything has to be totally practical.

This is not just ridiculous at all. It’s can be usefull and also can be decorative item for the house and also some publick space. Can be made from old chairs, can reuse. I dont see the point of “ridiculous”. Diffesent color of this ” half a chair” in one wall can be quite interesting. Very very very traditional old way to think it’s worthless. it’s sth about aesthetic…and taste
EbonRose: It's a really clever way to recycle a lightbulb, but there's one concern I have. Without any type of base or stand to hold the bulb, as the oil burns out the center of gravity will lower, causing the flame to drop closer and closer to the surface the bulb is resting on. So, if you want to use it without a base of any type, just keep an eye on it!...
