Bio business card

This business card concept includes a disk that is made of vegetable starch with a seed enclosed. The shot code technology works through the use of a mobile phone camera and web access. Once done with the business card, and the information is stored in your phone, you may dispose of the card on the ground, where it will break apart and eventually blossom.

This is possibly the work idea that I have ever heard of…somethings are better off as simple solutions.
that’s crazy. crazy enough to be awesome!
I love shot codes. But the program doesn’t work with many phones my friends and family own. So assuming that not everybody has a smartphone, and the fact that all you can eat internet plans and pay as you go internet plans are expensive, this idea won’t completely take off.
Despite the flaws Xander has mentioned, I think this idea could really work in a couple years with some new developments.
Add some buzzwords and it’s cradle to cradle? I don’t think that’s how it works. How do I put this in my Rolodex? I want my businesscards to last, not trown away. Why do I need to use all this equipment (consuming energy) just to see some contact information. If I want it electronically I’ll have it emaied, or beam a V-Card via bluetooth. As long as the plant doesn’t nave my contact information on it’s leaves this idea does not work for me.
I don’t want to be rude, but this isn’t eco-consious at all. Although it is a nice try.
really cool idea but its probably easier and more simple the old fashioned way
Why not make a “shot code bracelet” and bypass the wasteful production of a item made for discard?
“Cuz I’m eco-friendly! He’ll remember me, right? Everytime he looks at that plant I gave him… the bastard still hasn’t called!”
