The Bibliochaise is an armchairlibrary for who likes to be immersed in deep reading. It contains 5 linear metres of books and thanks to a special
fitting structure is easily disassembled.

This is dumb. there are no armrests! just books in the way! im sure it sacrifices comfort.

  2. deko deko Says:

why do you want armrests if you are supposed to be reading?
I like this concept and I don’t need armrests.

  3. Ian Ian Says:

Form or funciton.. or simply for style?

  4. patti patti Says:

maybe the shelves should fit the books horizontally instead….this way you can have the armrest…and different sized books can fit!

  5. Meaghan Meaghan Says:

I honestly don’t think you need the armrests… buuut if you wanted to you could just attach them to the top of those top shelves or.. better yet so as not to interfere with getting at the books just put some extra padding on the sides that kind of lips over the top a little but not so much as to interfere with storage/retrieval… I honestly love this and want one… if I could I would buy it right now..

    HOW MUCH!!?

  6. Nate Nate Says:

awesomely weird, but probably the least comfortable chair you could possibly sit in.

  7. Jess Jess Says:

yeah.. doesn’t look like a very comfortable chair.
I absolutely love the concept though.
    and armrests aren’t necessary.

  8. Xander Xander Says:

Idea’s fine, but I like a sofa better when I read. And yes, arm rests are great when reading..

  9. Jessica Jessica Says:

It looks plenty comfortable to me, I think people are seeing the chair too small (the armrest comment) or the actual chair just hard plastic and not cushiony (the uncomfortable comment) I really like this idea, clever and usable for cafe’s, bookstores, or even waiting rooms.

Well. As an author, i am telling you yhe only thing missing is a) half a meter more to be able to sleep b) a place to place my coffee c) a place for an ashtray. Damn, i have been dreaming of this chair for ever.

it is a model idea for how armchairs should be like in places like books n cofee, modern libraries, offices etc.
Giovanni Gennari, you certainly love books.
