Combined with a bluetooth headset and I would personally buy it. Although I would also suggest some things:
1. Blue tooth headset capability
2. SDCard or similar for storing the music
3. Some type of compact display for the music player.
And also how the heck does this thing recharge? lol.

Being as geeky as I am, I couldn’t ever uy something like this.
1) No screen
2) doesn’t look that great
3) I just doesn’t do most of the things that even a budget phone is capable of.
I’m sorry guys. this one gets the thumbs down

I’ve seen this before, and it almost sold me on actually getting one. People look so * with cell phones, but this one is cool. “Spherical horse in a vacuum”? Must be lost in translation, gotta figure it out…

Ok, I found this joke when i googled spherical horse, but I don’t get it.
A philosopher of science, keen to try his luck at the racecourse, asked his friend, a theoretical physicist, for advice. The physicist asked for some basic physical data concerning the various contestants in an upcoming race and then set to work upon a precise calculation. Eventually he came up with a firm recommendation and the philosopher invested his wages accordingly, only to watch with astonishment as the favoured steed thundered dramatically past the finishing post ??“ in last place! “Why was your calculation so wildly inaccurate?” asked the philosopher, “Well, I’m not sure,” mused the physicist… “but perhaps it’s because I assumed a spherical horse in a vacuum!”

well, this is only then a good idea if you actually have nerve interface - optics and audio. Otherwise, no thank you - without screen, good keys, you also have to unpeel it to talk - what if i don’t want to use a bt set? or if i loose it?
I like how this phone challenges the traditional idea of a phone and turns it into a real accessory. Although it doesn’t have all the flashy bells and whistles (e.g big screen) right now, that could probably be designed in for future versions. And, I see some uses for this phone. For example, runners or other athletes might like to take it with them on runs. (Carrying a phone can be a pain.) This arm band concept could also work for a music player. The phone also might be good for travelers: less likely to lose since it’s attached, and the simplicity might be an advantage because not everyone wants a phone full of features.

The spherical horse in a vacuum I interpreted to be like in physics where all problems have to control for certain factors, like no gravity and perfect shapes. In that sense the metaphor kind of makes sense. Like the product seems useful but in practice it wouldn’t work out the way you expected it to.
we are called “spherical horse in a vacuum”
who are called ???spherical horse in a vacuum????
“spherical horse in a vacuum” is a metaphor for ideas like this
you prefer a square horse in a cork screw?
