It is inconvenient to store some kinds of foods in the refrigerator. These foods, such as candies, cakes, and cookies, often cause an ant problem in our daily life. This product?’s design concept is to add water to the dish?’s edge, thus keeping ants isolated from our food ?– a concept that is feasible for everyday products. The concept of Reversible Dish ?– developed under the supervision of Jin-Dean cheng ?– is inspired from small observations in our life. There are still so many small details in our life. And we want to solve these problems with a simple and relaxed attitude.

one of the best ideas I’ve seen!
a simple solution for a simple problem
Wouldn’t this leave you with some amazing floating ant corpses around your food? ants are persistant.
ahhahaha but not ani-fly plate… =(
I really like how you’ve shown it inverted as a fruit bowl as well.
There’s another simpleway to protect ants.
put a rubber around the dish.
Good idea :)
An OK idea. Moving the dish may cause the food (or you!) to get wet. I think simply using a covered dish will be a smpler and more effective idea
I did this sort of thing to protect a plant, then it got infested with little flies because of the still water. try cinnamon, I hear they wont cross that.
Old idea… made in 70s for pets plates…
omygod, omygod, omygod, I love this sight!
Dead ants.
Dead ants.
Dead ants, dead ants, dead ants,
Dead ants, dead ants!
hey! my grandma made one of those in her teenage years
Water gonna spill, food gonna get wet
What about flying ants?
I think I’ll stick with my plastic wrap.
Ummm how about other even simpler ways without having to buy this…
1. Cover your plate with another plate or wrap
2. put your plate up on a rubber pad/coaster
3. put your plate into smaller dish with water
4. put a rubber band on the bottom of your plate
Now… if you were to market it as a dipping sauce or salsa plate… WOW! GENIOUS!
