The young singles ratio is getting increase in the society. These people live alone in small apartment in the city. They would like to have multipurpose furniture for using small room efficiently. There are two chairs and on table. Ordinary these are two chairs and table. But When they watch TV. It can be Sofa. And when they go to sleep. It is going to be a single bed.

I think it’s a bit dirty,
because the bottom of the sofa becomes the top of the bed,
but I like the simplicity and the “block” style.
it reminds me those kid’s wood toys.
I wouldn’t see the dirtyness aspect as being a problem on carpet or a rug. It would probably have to be placed near a wall to be comfortable as a sofa because there is no back support. Interesting exploration either way. I live in a small studio apartment and something like this would save me space and add some style.
for small inner city apartments, this could be a good concept to develop.
could it open for storage of cushions and placemats?
could cushions double as a mattress of sorts?

YOUR CONCEPT IS PERFECT FOR ANYONE, SUCH AS MYSELF, THAT IS RESTRICTED OF LIVABLE SPACE. YOUR CONCEPT OF FUNCTIONAL FURNITURE IS LACKING JUST ONE THING. AESTHETICALLY IT NEEDS TO BE SOFTENED. PLUS A SUGGESTION OF ADDING A FOAM ZIP OR SNAP TYPE COVER LIKE A MATRESS BAG THAT COULD SNAP ON IT, FOR USE AS A BED WOULD MAKE THAT ASPECT OF YOUR IDEA WORK .
I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON A SPACE PLANNING PROJECT IN MY OWN HOME ON WHEELS AND HAVE TO SAY THE CONCEPT YOU EXHIBIT HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN IN MY SEARCH FOR A SIMILAR TYPE FUNCTIONAL FURNISHING. I like it. Make it foam rubber and flex plastic. Great for a play room, but floor dirt would be less of a problem than jelly and spittle.

So is it a spongy table or a couch that feels like Formica? Is it a stain-proof couch or a table with stains all over it? I see that it’s also a chaise lounge if you remove one chair from the couch.
The trouble with multipurpose furniture is having to clean up every time you use it for something else. Clear your work off the table to make it a sofa, fold up the bedsheets to make a table/sofa, etc.
The ideal small-space furniture is really more along the lines of a large sofa with a tv tray. You don’t have to put away your sleeping bag, just spread it out and pretend its a throw. LOL.
I think it’s great for a child/teen room. Safe, lego pretend like. And… They don’t care about the dirt.

this is an extremely beautiful idea on so many levels…the comfort aspect needs a bit of working on but you definitely deserve one more vote

Interesting idea… but I agree with others. The chairs would not be comfortable, the bottom of the table is where you sleep (dirty), and the bed seems like it could fall down if any kind of… activities… were to take place. I can’t imagine the bottom of the table would be very comfortable to sleep on to begin with….
